Winter evenings in Trier

by Ann Raresheid
(Waynesboro, OA)

I loved to wander thru Trier in the winter evenings when all was quiet. Usually, on Friday nights around Christmas, there would be a small band playing Carols.

I would buy a packet of fresh roasted nuts, mostly to keep my hands warm in my pockets, then eat them a bit later.

The still nights, beautiful decorations in the shop windows and the hushed voices of the other people out enjoying the season made for perfect memories!
