German Scrambled Eggs Recipe  with Ham – Oma's Rühreier mit Schinken

This German scrambled eggs recipe with ham is so easy to make. You'll learn how to make scrambled eggs that are fluffy and yet creamy. Great for breakfast, lunch, or a light supper.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of black forest ham
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 large eggs
  • 8 tablespoons water or milk
  • pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Cut the ham into bite-sized pieces. Using medium heat, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the ham. Fry for 1 or 2 minutes.
  2. Using a whisk, mix eggs, water or milk, and salt until well mixed and foamy.
  3. Reduce heat and add the egg mixture.
  4. Stir gently as the egg mixture cooks, moving the cooked egg to the edges of the pan, until all is cooked.
  5. Serve immediately.
